A leisurely autumnal stroll led to the discovery of Milwaukee Avenue, a two-block historic district nestled in Minneapolis' Seward neighborhood. Gorgeous in the fall, I imagine it must be magical in the winter.
A few hours north of New York City, up the Hudson Valley, lies the Tuthilltown Distillery, makers of Hudson Baby Bourbon and other fine aged spirits. We spent an afternoon touring the distillery and sampling the products in their warm and inviting tasting room. It makes for a wonderful day trip out of NYC!
Nestled among other boutiques on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill is Collier West, a veritable retail wonderland of glamourous accessories, vintage goods, antique furnishings, and unique home décor that tickle one's aesthetic sensibilities. One of my favorite shops to pop into and admire the inspirational displays while soaking up the store's warm vibes.
